Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports cloud computing systems. This includes ensuring that these systems are highly available, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and upgrade Helm charts for infrastructure management to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain backups and disaster recovery procedures to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring and health checks of all infrastructure components to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A strong background in cloud computing with expertise in Kubernetes architecture, concepts, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in managing Kubernetes resources such as pods, deployments, services, and ingresses.
  • Experience with Kubernetes networking and storage configurations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues within Kubernetes clusters.
  • Knowledge of Helm for managing Kubernetes applications including Helm chart templates, values files, and dependencies.
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Understanding of core concepts of Containerization with Docker.
  • Proficiency in bash/shell scripting for automation and system maintenance.
  • Experience with system monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and system security practices.
  • Expertise in Keycloak for identity and access management including integration with LDAP systems if required.
  • Understanding of security best practices for authentication and authorization.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL administration including installation, configuration, and monitoring.
  • Experience with database backups, replication, and disaster recovery.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database security.
  • Expertise in MsSQL administration including installation, configuration, and monitoring.

  • Understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components including HDFS and YARN.

  • Expertise in Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations.
  • Experience with deploying and configuring Spark clusters.
  • Proficiency in Spark programming with Python.
  • Understanding of Spark job optimization and tuning.
  • Knowledge of Jupyter ecosystem components and their roles.
  • Experience in deploying and configuring Jupyter Enterprise Gateway.
  • Proficiency in setting up and customizing JupyterLab and JupyterHub instances.
  • Understanding of user authentication and access control in Jupyter environments.
  • Knowledge of DNS configuration and management.
  • Understanding of TLS certificate management.
  • Experience with load balancing concepts and reverse proxy configuration.
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools ping, traceroute, nslookup, dig, netstat.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking.
  • Knowledge of ingress traffic management in Kubernetes environments.
