Warehouse Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Assistant to provide exceptional customer service and support our warehouse operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for receiving and processing orders, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with colleagues in the Credit Department to resolve customer account queries.
  • Process orders efficiently, including quotes, over-the-counter sales, standard orders, no-charge orders, samples, and returns.
  • Pack, label, and assemble orders for delivery.
  • Receive, check, and put away replenishment products as required.
  • Provide expert advice and support to customers regarding products and services.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure orders are packed and ready for dispatch on time.
  • Process orders and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Handle cash sales and reconcile daily banking procedures.
  • Occasionally mix paint according to customer requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Customer service experience in a trade environment is essential.
  • Basic warehouse skills are necessary.
  • A forklift license is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Permanent working rights in Australia are required.
