About the Role

As a Community Registered Nurse with Calvary Home Care in Adelaide, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient education and care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals to deliver complex care to clients with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of Medications: Safely administer IV, IM, SC, and PO medications to clients as prescribed by their healthcare providers.
  • Wound Care: Provide comprehensive wound care, including assessment, treatment, and evaluation of wound progress.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client records, ensuring seamless communication with the clinical team.
  • Patient Education: Deliver educational programs to clients and their families, empowering them to manage their health effectively.
  • Clinical Deterioration: Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration, escalating as necessary to ensure client safety.
  • Quality Improvement: Identify areas for quality improvement and contribute to initiatives that enhance patient care and outcomes.
What You Bring
  • AHPRA Nursing Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Experience and Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of acute experience, with community experience highly desirable. Postgraduate qualifications in Stomal Therapy Nursing are a plus.
  • NDIS and Police Clearance: NDIS clearance and police clearance within 6 months or willingness to obtain.
