Job Title: Optical Service Specialist

Are you passionate about working with medical devices and providing top-notch support to our customers?
We are seeking a skilled Optical Service Specialist to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our ophthalmic equipment, ensuring that it functions optimally and meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment installation, including associated system software
  • Remote phone and online troubleshooting and IT support
  • Device repairs at customer sites and in our service workshop
  • Ensure equipment is prepared and QA completed prior to installation
  • Maintain effective relationships and build trust with customers
  • Ongoing troubleshooting, learning, and knowledge sharing within the Service team
  • Logging all faults within the company and manufacturer service systems
  • Managing major repairs and escalations for complex issues


Requirements:
  • Proven success in medical device service and support, ideally in a related field
  • Ability to manually move equipment when required
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong time management and planning skills
  • Clear and helpful telephone manner and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work autonomously
  • Willing to travel, including occasional overnight stays to support regional customers
  • Valid driver's license
