About the Role

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. As a key member of our structural group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects across various engineering disciplines.

Your day-to-day tasks may involve:

  • Developing and documenting structural engineering solutions that meet Australian Standards and industry best practices.
  • Mentoring junior staff in structural engineering and reviewing their work.
  • Preparing reports and other related documents.
  • Collaborating with other teams and disciplines to coordinate engineering designs.
  • Carrying out construction phase services, including site inspections and RFIs.
  • Contributing to business planning activities and helping to drive growth in the marketplace.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with relevant qualifications and experience.
  • Ideal experience in a similar capacity, with a design approach that prioritizes value for clients.
  • Proven experience with structural design software, such as SPACEGASS, Strand7, RAPT, and Inducta.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain internal and client relationships.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage resources and delegate tasks effectively.
