About the Role

This position involves providing primary health services to individuals living in rural and remote Australia. As a remote area nurse, you will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure an integrated service approach, focusing on prevention and early intervention.

You will be motivated to utilise your knowledge of emergency response, patient triaging, population health, chronic disease management, culturally safe practice, and health promotion to deliver a comprehensive health service.

  • You will be based across several locations in South Australia, including Innamincka, Marree, Marla, and Andamooka.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality nursing care to patients in remote settings.
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure an integrated service approach.
  • Utilising your knowledge of emergency response, patient triaging, population health, chronic disease management, culturally safe practice, and health promotion to deliver a comprehensive health service.
  • Working independently, collaboratively, and effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Your Requirements
  • A Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification general nursing experience.
  • A dedicated clinician with significant experience in providing primary health services in remote Australia and/or rural health facilities.
  • A compassionate professional with a demonstrated understanding of the principles of primary healthcare, community development, and the social determinants of health.
