Electrical Assembly Role

This position involves the electrical assembly, testing and commissioning of advanced railcars. We are looking for a skilled individual with experience in electrical assembly, testing and commissioning to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precision electrical assembly tasks such as wire cutting, labelling, crimping and termination.
  • Install electrical looms and components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Conduct thorough electrical testing, measurement and fault finding to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality targets.
About You
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or Equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of electrical rollingstock systems, manufacturing processes and specialized equipment from production to electrical testing and commissioning is an advantage.
  • The ability to dismantle, repair, replace, assemble and fit engineering components is essential.
  • Skilled in precision electrical and electronic measurement.
  • Experience in terminating and connecting electrical wiring, including electrical crimping is necessary.
  • Exposure and experience in fault finding is preferred.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Excellent time management and forward-thinking is required.
  • Ability to influence, motivate and contribute to continuous improvement is desired.
  • Continuing commitment to a Zero Harm workplace is expected.
