We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team.
About the RoleThe role of Chief Engineer is a critical one, responsible for ensuring all technical systems operate seamlessly and that preventive maintenance is carried out effectively.
The ideal candidate will have solid technical knowledge and experience in a senior engineering or maintenance role, preferably within the hotel industry.
Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operation and maintenance of engineering systems – HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
Additionally, the successful candidate will lead, schedule, and support the engineering team, ensuring effective coverage and high standards.
They will also be responsible for managing and implementing preventive maintenance for equipment, guest rooms, and public areas, as well as responding promptly to maintenance requests or emergencies.
The role requires collaboration with department heads to support operational needs and service delivery.
Compliance with health, safety, environmental standards, and legal requirements is essential.
Maintenance records must be maintained, and assistance provided with capital planning and projects.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in troubleshooting, possess quick thinking and problem-solving abilities, and be organised and calm under pressure.
