The Law Society of South Australia is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join its LPCI team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the legal profession adheres to best practices and regulatory requirements.
The appointee will be responsible for:
- Delivering education programs to law practices.
- Maintaining and developing guidelines and resources.
- Providing phone and in-person assistance to law practices.
- Undertaking routine compliance investigations and cause-driven trust account investigations.
- Investigating and quantifying suspected or actual losses in respect of defalcation or theft of client money.
We require an individual with:
- Experience in financial audits and compliance monitoring.
- Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia or CPA status with CPA Australia Ltd.
- Registered Company Auditor status.
- Law practice trust accounting and regulatory compliance experience.
- Current working knowledge of law practice office systems and procedures.
