The Law Society of South Australia is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join its LPCI team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the legal profession adheres to best practices and regulatory requirements.

The appointee will be responsible for:

  • Delivering education programs to law practices.
  • Maintaining and developing guidelines and resources.
  • Providing phone and in-person assistance to law practices.
  • Undertaking routine compliance investigations and cause-driven trust account investigations.
  • Investigating and quantifying suspected or actual losses in respect of defalcation or theft of client money.

We require an individual with:

  • Experience in financial audits and compliance monitoring.
  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia or CPA status with CPA Australia Ltd.
  • Registered Company Auditor status.
  • Law practice trust accounting and regulatory compliance experience.
  • Current working knowledge of law practice office systems and procedures.
