Job Opportunity: SMSF Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SMSF accountant to manage a portfolio of clients and ensure compliance across all aspects of SMSF administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of SMSF clients and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely reporting.
  • Apply strong knowledge of SMSF regulations and compliance requirements to deliver accurate outcomes and ensure clients remain aligned with legislative obligations.
  • Liaise confidently with clients, auditors, and stakeholders, taking the lead in key interactions and providing a consistent, professional client experience.
Requirements:

For this role, we require:

  • Proven practical experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and tax compliance for SMSF clients.
  • Client engagement & communication: demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency: solid working knowledge of SMSF legislation and compliance, with experience in preparing SMSF accounts and tax returns.
  • Team collaboration & leadership: a team player who contributes to a positive culture and experience in mentoring junior staff.
  • Professional integrity & accountability: a reliable and ethical approach to your work.
  • Organisation & problem solving: strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Energy & enthusiasm: a positive attitude and genuine passion for delivering high-quality work, with the drive to contribute meaningfully to both client outcomes and team success.
