Lead Robotics Software Engineer

Lunar mobility and in-situ resource utilization projects are seeking a seasoned engineer with expertise in leading software development efforts. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying robust software for real-world hardware systems. Key responsibilities include guiding the production of version control systems, ensuring software stability, and managing the entire software lifecycle from concept to implementation.

  • Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of software for hardware systems.
  • Guide the production and implementation of version control systems to track software updates and ensure stability.
  • Manage the entire software lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deploying and maintaining software on hardware systems, with experience in version control systems, software development, and leadership. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and ROS is also required. Experience working in Agile teams and creating efficient and robust multi-threaded applications is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent qualification is necessary. A minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams of engineers in software development is also required. Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining application software for operational hardware systems is essential.
