Overview of the Role

The Senior Software Development Specialist designs and develops software programs for enhancements and new products. They troubleshoot and debug existing software to ensure compatibility with hardware systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine software compatibility with hardware systems.

  • Design and develop software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.

  • Develop software enhancements and new products while ensuring high-quality code with minimal support required.

  • Work under limited direction to implement software enhancements, correct defects, and create new products.

  • Collaborate with a team of developers to achieve project goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven software engineering expertise with a track record of developing software in the real world.

  • Proficient in one or more programming languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, C++) and understands data structures and algorithms.

  • Able to write high-quality code and understand trade-offs in solving problems of varying complexity.
    ">
  • Familiarity with memory allocation and management mechanisms, security mechanisms, processing allocation mechanisms, and currency control of target operating systems.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and CI/CD processes and experience writing code with comprehensive unit test coverage.

  • Active contributor to open-source projects and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.
