Companionship Volunteer

We are seeking volunteers who can bring their calm and well-behaved pets to visit our residents, providing companionship and joy.

This is a great opportunity to spend time with others while also giving back to your community.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring along your friendly pet and spend time chatting with residents at our residential aged care home.
  • Your pet should be up-to-date with vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas, and dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.
  • This role is perfect for those who have a small to medium-sized pet and enjoy spending quiet time with others.

Impact: Volunteering as a social visitor can be incredibly rewarding, not only for the residents but also for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers like you can help improve quality of life and combat feelings of loneliness.

About Us: We rely on the support of volunteers like you to provide vital services to our community.

Requirements:

  • Aged 18 or older
  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by us
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • We'd love to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday.

Please note that visits could be weekly to fortnightly, depending on your availability.
