Charge Nurse

Job Title: Charge Nurse - Forensic Hospital

Job Summary:

Priory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at Llanarth Court Hospital. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the ward manager in managing a secure ward with patients under the mental health act who have a diagnosis of mental health, personality disorder and/or learning disability needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the ward manager in managing a secure ward with patients under the mental health act
• Have clinical and leadership experience that provides the expertise and confidence required to support the wider nursing team
• Be able to respond flexibly to change and the developing needs of the service
• Be responsible for deputising in the absence of the ward manager if necessary
• Be a role model for their peers and demonstrate core Priory values at all times

Requirements:

• Registered nurse with active NMC PIN
• 2 years post qualifying experience
• Relevant clinical experience
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
• Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
