We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 13-18 with mental health conditions and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Ward Manager in leading the nursing team to deliver exceptional care and support to service users.
- Empower recovery and deliver supervision to staff across the ward to ensure great healthcare outcomes.
- Work closely with the senior Nurse and Ward Manager to coordinate the on-call service and manage ward budgets.
- Lead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team, and create a positive learning environment that promotes growth and development.
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise to ensure high standards are maintained and improved in accordance with the Clinical Governance framework.
- Utilize and supervise all nursing staff effectively to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Be an expert resource on nursing care of service users within the specialism and hold a key role in the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative environment to allow ward members to reach their potential and maximize their ability to provide high-quality care, staff welfare, and staff training.
- Designated to take charge of the ward in the Ward Manager's absence.
- A relevant nursing qualification and NMC registration.
- A positive attitude and natural caring and compassionate approach.
- A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice.
- Relevant experience in a similar environment.
- Proven track record of leadership skills.
