Project Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Project Assurance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing milestone closure and assurance schedules, facilitating the development of Independent Assurer's areas of focus, and coordinating with workstream project managers on their collation of milestone closure artefacts.

The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills and be able to facilitate and support milestone closure and assurance activities across various programs of work. You will also have experience in managing processes and controls, as well as coordinating with stakeholders to obtain formal approval.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Milestone Closure Management: Oversee the completion of milestones and ensure timely submission of associated artefacts.
  • Assurance Schedule Management: Develop and maintain the assurance schedule, ensuring that all necessary activities are completed on time.
  • Independent Assurer Support: Collaborate with the Independent Assurer to develop their areas of focus and ensure that they are adequately supported throughout the project.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work with stakeholders to coordinate the collection of milestone closure artefacts and ensure that all necessary approvals are obtained.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also contribute to the quarterly Independent Assurer's review and reporting process, monitor the progress of management actions closures, and provide input for monthly reporting to senior stakeholders and governance committees.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across various teams and departments.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing projects and processes, including milestone closure and assurance scheduling.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
