Leisure and Community Engagement Coordinator

Assisting in delivering a holistic approach to support residents is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Our team provides leadership, coaching and direction to residential teams.

This role involves assisting the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator in maintaining a diverse suite of formal and informal group programs. The goal is to cater to the social, recreational, cultural and spiritual needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing programs that promote resident wellbeing
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging experiences for residents
  • Monitor and respond to resident needs and concerns
  • Contribute to building relationships with community partners
  • Support the implementation of programs that reflect cultural diversity

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A warm, compassionate and caring nature with genuine respect for cultural diversity and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to achieving organisational goals
  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Ageing)
  • Two years' experience working as a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant in an aged care or community environment
  • A 'can do', willing and creative attitude
  • NDIS Worker screening number
  • Multilingual (desirable) especially Russian, Hebrew, and/or Yiddish
