Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager

This role is responsible for the development and execution of environmental management and approvals strategy.
- Oversee future mine approvals and coordinate with technical specialists to navigate regulatory pathways.
- Collaborate with government departments to secure timely approvals and minimize operational delays.
- Develop strong relationships with regulatory bodies to foster effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure continuous compliance with site approvals, licenses, leases, and regulations.
- Lead an environmental team providing guidance and support to achieve operational goals and regulatory compliance.
- Drive engagement to environmental aspects across the workforce promoting sustainability and responsibility.
- Undertake community consultation and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain and improve the environmental management system.
- Develop/revised management plans to support ongoing environment and subsidence management.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Science Environmental Science Mining Engineering or equivalent extensive experience in leading project implementation including mine approval projects knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks and demonstrated experience in applying an Environmental Management System.
