Logistics Operations Assistant

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a reliable and skilled Logistics Operations Assistant to support their warehouse operations.
About The RoleThis role requires excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills to assist with loading/unloading goods, performing laboring tasks, distributing goods to stores and maintaining safe work health and safety methods and driving practices.
- Loading and unloading loose goods, including furniture items;
- Performing laboring tasks, such as lifting and carrying reasonable weights;
- Distribution of goods to stores and assisting retail staff where required;
- Ensuring a professional customer relations experience for our customers;
- Using an electronic device to complete delivery paperwork;
- Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle provided.
We are looking for someone with a MR licence (essential), minimum 1 year's driving experience operating a medium rigid vehicle (or equivalent). Relevant license to operate a counterbalance forklift (desirable) is also preferred. Demonstrated experience in multi-drop, courier or furniture removal is highly regarded, as is demonstrated experience working in a customer-facing role.
