Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and distribute daily media summaries, providing insightful analysis and reporting on key issues.
- Maintain and update targeted lists of journalists and publications, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Manage media distribution, interview requests, and inquiries, responding promptly and professionally to stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with media monitoring suppliers to align services and update parameters, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare media reports, manage emerging risks, and support capability issues management, identifying and mitigating potential threats.
- Maintain and update the talking point bank and media monitoring keyword briefs, staying informed and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
- Monitor social media activity, collate reports, and identify emerging issues, analyzing trends and recommending strategic responses.
- Draft media content including releases, responses, talking points, speeches, and social media posts, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Provide administrative support, including contract management and record-keeping, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and efficient use of resources.
- Bachelor's Degree in communications, media, public relations, journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in the field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent organizational abilities and effective team collaboration, fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word, utilizing technology to streamline tasks and enhance productivity.
- Up-to-date knowledge of media and social media channels, staying informed and adaptable in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
- Understanding of rural and regional audience needs is beneficial, acknowledging the importance of diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Australian citizenship and preferably a current baseline clearance or the ability to obtain one, ensuring compliance with relevant security requirements.
