Hardware Accelerator Researcher
\We are seeking an accomplished researcher to join our team in the development of innovative hardware acceleration solutions.
\The successful candidate will possess a strong background in FPGA-based, neuromorphic, or low-power AI hardware design, with applications in signal processing and reinforcement learning. They will be skilled in hardware programming (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog) and embedded systems (C/C++, Python), and have worked with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch to deploy optimised models on hardware.
\This is a unique opportunity to build expertise while delivering measurable outputs on a forward-thinking research project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant areas and experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
\Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop innovative hardware acceleration solutions for signal processing and reinforcement learning applications.\
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners to advance the state-of-the-art in hardware acceleration.\
- Contribute to the development of machine learning models and deploy them on hardware using TensorFlow or PyTorch.\
- Work closely with the research team to achieve project goals and deliver results.\
- Communicate research findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at conferences.\
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of software quality.\
- Mentor and support student development in hardware acceleration.\
- Prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.\
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in hardware acceleration and apply this knowledge to improve research outcomes.\
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.\
- Provide technical expertise to internal teams and external collaborators.\
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and funding applications.\
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.\
- Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences to stay current with developments in the field.\
- Represent the organisation at international events and conferences.\
- Engage in knowledge sharing activities such as seminars, webinars, and tutorials.\
- Contribute to the development of patents and intellectual property related to hardware acceleration.\
- Support the planning and execution of research projects.\
- Manage and mentor junior researchers.\
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.\
