Heavy Diesel Mechanic Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career in the mining industry. As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be working on a major mining operation with one of Australia's leading mining contractors.

  • You will have the chance to work with a variety of equipment, including CAT trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, Atlas drills, and Scania trucks.
  • Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs, as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • You will be part of an experienced team where you will learn and grow your skills each shift.
  • The company offers a wide range of training and development options, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the mining industry.
About the Position
  • Duties: Performing routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs, as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving on heavy vehicles, civil plant, or mining equipment.
  • Working hours: 7-day shifts, 7-night shifts, and 14 days off.
  • FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) arrangement with accommodation and meals provided at the mining camp.
  • Relocation assistance available.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2+ years post-trade experience working on heavy vehicles, civil plant, or mining equipment.
  • Cert III trade qualifications in diesel mechanical (heavy vehicles or plant).
  • A strong desire to progress your skills in the mining industry.
  • An excellent attitude towards work and safety values.
