Lead School Psychologist Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead School Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will provide leadership and support to school psychologists across the region, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to deliver high-quality services to students and families.

About the Role:

  • Provide professional supervision and support to school psychologists, including those who are provisionally registered.
  • Ensure the quality of practice meets professional standards and departmental policies.
  • Lead in the development and implementation of contemporary psychological practices, programs, and interventions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build capacity and influence system policy and operations.
  • Develop and lead strategic partnerships to achieve systemic change and improve outcomes for students and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and guidance to school psychologists, including professional supervision and mentoring.
  2. Development and implementation of high-quality programs and interventions to meet the needs of students and families.
  3. Critical evaluation and feedback on the school psychology profession, system policy, and operation.
  4. Strategic partnership building to drive systemic change and improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Psychology or related field.
  • General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Provisional registration is also acceptable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working in education or healthcare settings preferred.
