Job Description

Vysus Group is a leading engineering and technical consultancy offering specialist asset performance, risk management, and project management expertise across complex industrial assets, energy assets, and the energy transition.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Power Systems Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the grid connection process for new generation projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking and delivering high-quality Power Systems studies for renewable energy projects
  • Developing technical solutions to complex network and connection issues
  • Working closely with developers, investors, NSPs, and AEMO to manage and support grid connection requirements
  • Providing expert project management and support across a range of projects

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Higher Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Adaptable and well-organized with a practical-minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of power systems modeling tools (e.g., PSS/E, Power Factory, PSCAD)
