The Procurement Specialist Leader will spearhead the group's approach to supplier management for direct spend, driving strategic purchasing decisions to enhance pricing and rebate outcomes.
This role involves developing and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies, evaluating and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong relationships with vendors.
- Lead the group's supplier management approach for direct spend
- Drive strategic purchasing decisions to enhance pricing and rebate outcomes
- Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies
- Evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Manage the entire procurement process from purchase request initiation to final receipt and approval of goods
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast needs and specifications
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics to improve procurement efficiency
- Ensure third-party supplier compliance with all policies, laws, and obligations contained within contracts and the Supplier Governance Framework
Requirements include extensive experience in Procurement, Sourcing or Supply Chain, knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, strong negotiation skills, proficiency in analysing data and making informed decisions, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance or a related field. Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are also beneficial.
