Job Title: Academic Professional in Creative Industries

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality units that cater to students across the School of Creative Practice.

They must have a strong teaching profile with demonstrated positive student feedback, a track record of research success, and a reputation for excellence in industry engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach into core units in the Bachelor of Fine Arts and the Bachelor of Creative Industries.
  • Facilitate excellence in undergraduate courses through innovative teaching methods and materials.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures for effective learning outcomes.
  • Provide authentic real-world learning and assessment.
  • Supervise post-graduate students.
  • Contribute to the School's research portfolio, including attracting external funding.
  • Strengthen partnering relationships with industry, government, and the community.
  • Connect with relevant professional communities and lead in their field.
Selection Criteria:
  1. Completion of a doctoral qualification.
  2. A strong record of engaged and impactful research in creative industries.
  3. Record of a strong teaching profile with demonstrated positive student feedback.
  4. Demonstrated ability in learning and teaching.
  5. Demonstrated track record of success in establishing multidisciplinary teaching and research project collaborations.
  6. Demonstrated highly developed organisational and project management skills.
  7. Expertise in entrepreneurial, experimental, and community-engaged creative practice.
  8. Expertise in one or more study areas aligning with School disciplinary strengths.
