About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Correctional Custodial Officer. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and the individuals in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Induction of prisoners into the centre, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing disruption to the facility.
  • Staffing prisoner accommodation units, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
  • Supporting and overseeing prisoner attendance at vocational training, education, and employment programs, promoting rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
  • Supporting engagement in cultural programs, fostering a sense of community and respect for diversity.
  • Creating file notes and reports for case management, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Operating control rooms, monitoring and responding to security incidents in a calm and professional manner.
  • Undertaking perimeter surveillance and searches, maintaining a high level of vigilance and attention to detail.
  • External escorts, transporting prisoners safely and securely to and from appointments and other destinations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals. You will also need to be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
