Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY AUSTRALIA PTY LTD. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of electrical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of electrical engineering designs and specifications for projects, ensuring they meet the required safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and manage the work of electrical engineers and technicians to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, contract managers, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including safety and quality protocols.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans to ensure project success.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering standards, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering project management, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
