
Linux Systems Engineering Leader

Responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of cutting-edge Ubuntu integration strategies across IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.
- Forge strategic partnerships with commercial entities to deliver a premium, tailored Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
- Nurture your team through coaching, mentoring, and performance-based feedback to drive exceptional results.
- Oversee commercial engagements and ensure timely project milestones are met while maintaining strict quality and reliability standards.
- Collaborate closely with other teams at Canonical to synchronize product architecture and roadmaps.
This role demands resourcefulness, articulateness, and the ability to deliver innovative solutions across PC and IoT technologies. As a Senior Technical Lead, you will be expected to motivate and develop strong engineers, positively influence the company culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work with your team on strategy and execution.
You have a proven track record of working with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and high-performance server-class hardware. Your experience in direct customer interactions, issue resolution, and effective communication of solution benefits is invaluable.
A successful candidate has demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of software engineers and an understanding of agile software development methodologies.
You collaborate effectively across multiple internal teams, building trust and delivering tangible results. Strong English language communications skills (written and oral) are essential for this role.
