We are seeking a senior lawyer with proven experience in energy retail to advise on regulatory and contractual matters for a major energy retailer.

This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders to provide clear, commercially-driven advice and helping navigate the regulatory landscape while balancing operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on regulatory and contractual matters for a major energy retailer.
  • Ensure compliance and support commercial objectives in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to offer clear, commercially-driven advice.
  • Manage external advisers where required.
  • Navigate complex regulatory frameworks while balancing operational demands.
Requirements
  • Strong background in energy retail law, with solid regulatory and contractual expertise.
  • Ability to advise senior leaders and work independently in a busy in-house setting.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Capacity to juggle competing priorities in a dynamic sector.

As a seasoned lawyer, you will be responsible for advising on regulatory and contractual matters. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide clear, commercially-driven advice and help navigate the regulatory landscape. This role requires strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as the ability to juggle competing priorities in a dynamic sector.
