Come and be a part of our success by working on our newest iron ore mine, South Flank. This project expands existing infrastructure at Mining Area C, adding 80 Mtpa of new crushing and screening capacity, an extensive overland conveyor system, expanded stockyards, and new train loading facilities.
About the Role
The Mine Operations Specialist is responsible for the effective operation of Autonomous Haulage System (AHS), Fleet Management System (FMS), and Autonomous Haul Trucks (AHTs) while in autonomous mode. This role ensures the AHTs can travel throughout the mine plan safely and productively.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring of the autonomous operations zone for accuracy
- Managing the dump plans to ensure the AHTs tip in an optimised way
- Survey, plan, and validate the AHS to ensure any infrastructure or hazards have exclusion zones around them
- Monitor haul road conditions and place speed restrictions as required
- Respond to AHTs if they are stopped out of plan, and undertake recovery of AHTs when they are unable to continue on their plan
- Further optimise the mine plan and haul routes through infield verification
