Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Health Safety and Wellbeing professional to lead our National HSW Manager role. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees across all business units and operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support to HSW Managers and stakeholders across the business. This highly visible and business-critical role will see you based at our Richmond head office, with regular visits to metro and regional sites.

As a highly capable and confident leader, you will provide hands-on support and expert advice to HSW Managers, Site Managers, and functional leaders. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives and plans aimed at preventing harm across the organisation.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring consistency and compliance to the HSW Management System through onsite reviews and audits.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HSW strategic plans.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to implement key HSW projects and provide hands-on support where needed.
  • Monitoring and analysing performance metrics, generating reports, and providing recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong foundation in health, safety, and wellbeing, backed by a relevant qualification such as a Bachelor's degree in Safety or equivalent.

You will have a proven track record in leading teams, HSW strategies, and initiatives within complex, high-risk environments. Your approach will be proactive and analytical, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.

Key qualifications and skills include:

  • Strong experience in people leadership and managing HSW functions across a business.
  • Proficiency in incident investigations.
  • Demonstrated success in injury and event management prevention.
  • Experience in analysing HSW performance metrics and translating insights into action.
