Job Title: Audiologist

About the Role:

  • As an Audiologist, you will provide expert support and empowerment to clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • You will collaborate with individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of children and adults.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments of auditory problems for adult clients using established Australian Hearing practice methods and standards.
  2. Offer appropriate rehabilitative support, including fitting hearing aids, assistive listening devices, personal amplification devices, accessories, and communication strategies as needed.
  3. Refer clients to relevant professionals or seek guidance from senior audiologists when necessary.
  4. Participate in providing services at visiting sites and home visits.
  5. Liaise with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) representatives, other allied health and support agencies, and families/carers to ensure best practice and optimal outcomes for each client.
  6. Engage in marketing and public relations activities in the community as required.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service, manage client load, and meet performance targets.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Audiology.
  • Be a full and current member of the Audiology Society of Australia.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of clinical Audiology and procedures in accordance with Australian Audiology standards.
  • Have sound knowledge of the Hearing Services Program.
  • Exhibit exposure to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) scheme.
  • Display willingness and flexibility to travel to other locations for clinical work.
  • Show ability to support business changes to clinical practice, products, and policies.

  • Will be required to undergo a Police Check.
  • Must hold a current driver's licence.
