We are seeking a highly skilled People Safety Specialist to join our Safety Systems and Operational Support team at Virgin Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving People Safety continuous improvement initiatives across Work Health Safety, Workers Compensation, and Workplace Wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Research and analyze legislative WHS requirements, emerging WHS issues, and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement in Virgin Australia's systems and processes.
- Collaborate with WHS Business Partners and Manager People Safety to design and deliver effective communication strategies and processes that engage and influence the business in driving Work Health Safety and Workplace Wellbeing continuous improvement strategies.
- Provide analysis, reporting, and insights to support effective decision-making and compliance outcomes.
- Support the ongoing development of the WHS Management System and Workplace Wellbeing program.
- Lead and support People Safety projects as allocated by the Manager, People Safety.
- Tertiary qualification in WHS or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Work Health Safety and/or Workplace Wellbeing within Aviation, resource, or energy sectors.
- High levels of experience analyzing and reporting to multiple stakeholders on safety performance metrics and trends.
- Knowledge of State and Territory WHS legislative requirements.
- Experience in the rollout of people safety programs and initiatives across WHS and Workplace Wellbeing.
