Key to the success of our Third Runway project is the effective planning and coordination of operational readiness. This crucial process ensures that all operational elements are thoroughly tested, validated and ready for live use.

We are seeking a seasoned Airport Operations Specialist to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) program. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of airport operations and aviation infrastructure, with a strong track record of managing ORAT or similar transition programs.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and delivering comprehensive ORAT plans in line with best practice and regulatory frameworks.
  • Mapping out and driving operational readiness activities, milestones and stakeholder accountabilities.
  • Leading end-to-end planning, validation and trial exercises, from desktop to full-scale live testing.
  • Ensuring robust change management practices that prioritize safety and compliance.
  • Collaborating closely with front-line operational teams to ensure they are informed, trained and part of the journey.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in airport operations and aviation infrastructure.
  • Proven experience managing ORAT or similar operational transition programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of aviation regulations, aeronautical data and CASA MOS Part 139.
  • Demonstrated success engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
