Job Overview

The Internal Audit Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of the audit plan by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external audit providers.

The position provides high-level support for key projects and initiatives, focusing on quality assurance, audit recommendations, and risk management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement the audit plan within set timelines.
  • Undertake initial quality assurance of audit reports submitted by external providers.
  • Verify the implementation of audit recommendations in our systems and negotiate revised due dates where necessary.
  • Conduct compliance audits as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Work closely with the Risk and Business Continuity Officer to assess changes to the organization's risk profile.
  • Present high-quality reports to executive leadership and audit committees.
  • Contribute to developing a strategic 3-year audit plan.
  • Offer counsel and assistance to staff on audit/risk/business-related matters.
  • Undertake corporate projects as assigned.
  • Follow up on the implementation of agreed internal audit recommendations and conduct investigations as needed.
  • Report on inquiry findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
