About this Opportunity
The Health and Safety Advisor will play a key role in driving a safety and improvement culture at our Hornsby site. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading company in the circular economy and contribute to our growth story.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust strategies to support business objectives and ensure compliance with WHS legislation.
- Lead external WHSE audits and develop corrective and preventative action plans.
- Complete customer WHS and environmental surveys or assessments.
- Track key systems indicators and report results to management.
- Ensure WHSE system complies with customer quality or integrity requirements.
- Assist in managing workers compensation claims and implementing the Return-to-Work program.
- Participate on the WHS Committee and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, hazards, or identified risks.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Certificate IV or degree in a safety-related field.
- Experience in chemical, manufacturing, or food environments.
- Familiarity with quality systems, GMP, HACCP, and AS/NZS 4801.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and technology.
- Knowledge of industrial relations, WHSE laws, and cultural diversity in the workplace.
