About the Role
As a Support Professional within Sunnyfield, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently, actively engage in their local community, and participate in meaningful opportunities. You will work in a team environment and independently, providing a range of services to assist clients in living independently, being involved in their community, and engaged in meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients to live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living, including menu planning, cooking, and cleaning.
- Provide personal care support and assistance with medication.
- Support clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs.
- Work to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies.
- Communicate with families about clients' progress.
About You
You are passionate about making a difference and want to contribute to providing exceptional support to our clients. You are a positive and energetic person who thrives in a fun and dynamic environment, values teamwork, and has a flair for creativity while being organised. You will demonstrate the ability to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people.
Requirements:
- Experience in the Disability sector is essential.
- Currently studying or completed Certificate III or above in Community services is desirable.
- Experience within the healthcare industry is advantageous.
- Ability to support others with personal and hygiene care.
- Personal qualities of resilience, empathy, and self-confidence.
- High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty, and respect.
