About the Role

As a Support Worker within Sunnyfield, you will play an essential role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing.

You will work in a team environment and independently, providing a range of services to assist clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engaged in meaningful opportunities.

This is a casual position with shifts that will include early morning, days, afternoons, weekends, sleep, and wake-over shifts.

Flexibility to work across these shifts is a must, with shifts located across the central coast region.


Key Focus

Supporting our clients to live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living, including menu planning, cooking, and cleaning.

Supports may include personal care needs and assistance with medication.

Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs.

Working to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies.

Communication with families about clients' progress.


About You

You are passionate about making a difference and want to contribute to providing exceptional support to our clients.

You are a positive and energetic person who loves teamwork and is creative, yet organised.

You will demonstrate the ability to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people.

We are looking for someone with experience in the Disability sector, currently studying or completed Certificate III or above in Community services is desirable.

Experience within the healthcare industry is advantageous.

Ability to support others with personal and hygiene care and happy for this to be part of your job.

Personal qualities of resilience, empathy, and self-confidence are essential.

High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty, and respect.
