Quality Assurance Lead

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to drive excellence in healthcare and lead our quality, safety, and continuous improvement framework across Oncology practices in Western Australia.

This is a permanent role offering a 9-day fortnight and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the ongoing implementation of the clinical governance framework.
  • Lead and drive the design, rollout, and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Report quality outcomes to state and national authorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives benefiting patients and staff.
  • Provide strategic oversight on accreditation, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with national safety and quality standards.
  • Support staff safety and quality capability building.
  • Represent quality and safety as a key member of the state leadership team.
  • Contribute to national quality projects as part of the broader quality team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with postgraduate qualifications in healthcare management or quality.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
  • Experience with quality systems, SharePoint/Intranet, and risk/incident management tools.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training related to quality and safety, and working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Expertise in document standardization and control, internal audits, compliance, and process mapping.
  • Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
