About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Advisor to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will play a critical role in providing strategic advice on complex projects and ensuring their successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice on complex projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing effective solutions.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, management, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Report on project progress and outcomes to senior management, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Identify and implement improvements to project management practices, driving continuous learning and growth within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and objectives, aligning with the organization's overall vision and goals.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of the Engineering & Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven technical experience gained within the rolling stock industry, with a focus on strategic advice and project management.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, with a strong track record of delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and facilitate effective collaboration.
  • A solid understanding of the public sector and its challenges, with a passion for delivering high-quality public services.
