Lead Project Specialist

Job Description:

As a Lead Project Specialist, you will be at the forefront of project development, from conception to delivery. You will oversee priorities and requirements, ensuring clear understanding of project deliverables, milestones, and dependencies. Your leadership skills and ability to drive strategic solutions will be essential in managing risks, issues, and decisions with stakeholders.

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed strategy team and contribute to business growth. The ideal candidate will have experience working across conceptualisation phases through to business case approval within complex organisations. They will also possess excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and strong project scoping capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage overall project estimation, planning, team coordination, scheduling, and delivery;
  2. Oversee priorities and requirements, ensuring clear understanding of project deliverables, milestones, and dependencies;
  3. Work collaboratively with your team to ensure high levels of accuracy, quality, and controls across requirements, development testing, and delivery;
  4. Manage risks, issues, and decisions with appropriate stakeholders;

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and influence senior stakeholders and vendors;
  • Demonstrated experience working as a business-facing project manager across technical projects;
  • Leadership skills and the ability to drive strategic solutions with a focus on project governance;
  • Strong capabilities within project scoping, including market research, vendor engagement, resource allocation, and budget management;
  • Previous experience managing scheduling, planning, team management, estimation, reporting, vendor management, RAID, governance, and performance management against KPIs;
  • Willingness to engage with international teams;
