Residential Drafting Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Cadet Draftsperson. This role offers on-the-job training and mentoring from experienced drafting professionals to support your journey to becoming a skilled Production Draftsperson.

  • This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential drafting, working with a dynamic and dedicated team.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the drafting team with preparing and updating drawings, drafting tender and contract drawings, and supporting enquiries from customers, suppliers, planning authorities, and internal departments.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Formal qualifications in residential drafting (highly desirable)
  • A drive to become a Production Draftsperson with residential building experience
  • Capability in reading and producing working drawings
  • Basic understanding of the residential home building and construction process
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD software and BCA/Planning and Design Code
  • Good analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work autonomously and within a team
