The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented associate/senior associate to join our financial lines team. As an associate/senior associate in this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of complex matters focusing on Management Liability & Professional Indemnity.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of professional & management liability claims, ensuring exceptional client representation and successful outcomes.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings with expertise and confidence.
  • Offer ongoing legal advice and support to clients throughout the entire litigation process.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive and efficient case handling.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current New South Wales practising certificate.
  • Minimum 4 years' post-admission experience in general insurance matters.
  • Strong command of Australian tort law, civil procedure, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commercial approach and ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.
