About our role

Disability Support Worker

We provide high-quality care and support services to adults and young adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health and psychosocial disabilities in their own homes.

Our goal is to empower individuals to live a fulfilling life, defined by their personal preferences or those of their family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Household tasks such as domestic assistance, cleaning, shopping, laundry and performing errands
  • Activities of daily living including personal care, dressing, eating, showering, toileting and moving around the house
  • Assisting with transport to attend appointments
  • Helping individuals develop skills such as budgeting, using public transport and preparing meals
  • Providing psychosocial supports enabling self-management conversation and emotional support

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate II, III, IV or Diploma in Community Services or related area
  • Previous experience working with people with disability
  • Good understanding of person-centred care
  • Compliance with relevant codes of conduct
  • Ability to work flexible hours including shift-work, weekends and sleep-overs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current driver's license
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Working with Children Check and satisfactory criminal history record check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
