
Veterinary Support Specialist

To excel as a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will collaborate with skilled professionals in delivering high-quality patient care within our state-of-the-art referral hospital.
This role requires dedication to upholding the highest standards of patient welfare and hospital hygiene during late hours.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide fundamental inpatient care and monitor patient well-being.
- Restock supplies and maintain hospital hygiene standards.
- Support Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses with patient restraint.
- Administer basic massage and physiotherapy techniques under guidance.
- Conduct various in-house laboratory tests.
- Assist with maintaining ward equipment and resources.
- Collaborate effectively with the clinical team for smooth operations during twilight hours.
- Prior experience in animal handling and husbandry is desirable, but not essential.
- Strong commitment to professional and ethical standards.
- Able to remain calm and focused under pressure, demonstrating empathy towards patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
- Effective time management, self-motivation, proactivity, and initiative are important traits.
You will work 4pm until 1am Tuesday to Friday, with one in four Saturday evenings (4 pm - 1 am). If working a Saturday, the following Tuesday off.
