About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned environmental professional to lead our mine closure and rehabilitation projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in transforming landscapes and restoring ecosystems through mine closure and rehabilitation.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team
  • Manage project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes
  • Develop and implement mine closure plans, including feasibility assessments and implementation strategies
  • Design and deliver practical solutions to support clients
  • Conduct site visits to advise clients on geoscience, closure aspects, and rehabilitation planning
  • Prepare clear, concise technical reports

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Restoration Ecology, Geochemistry, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Relevant industry experience, preferably with an environmental consultancy or mining company
  • Familiarity with international closure standards and guidelines, as well as state-based Australian environmental legislation and policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including highly developed technical reporting capabilities
