The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infection prevention and control, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for promoting a service that fosters clinical excellence, research, and professional leadership.

You will work closely with healthcare providers and consumer groups to develop clinical practice standards and evaluate their outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to the effective management of care in the specialty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement infection prevention and control strategies
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and consumer groups to develop clinical practice standards
  • Evaluate the outcomes of clinical practice standards and make recommendations for improvement
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to healthcare professionals on infection prevention and control
Requirements
  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • 3 years relevant Full Time equivalent post registration experience and approved post graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in Infection Prevention & Control
  • Experience in leading a team and implementing quality improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
