Category Buyer Specialist

We are seeking a Category Buying Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for assisting in growing profitable category sales, maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting the customer-centric category strategy.
About the Role- Assist in developing trade and promotional plans to drive category growth
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to execute goals and objectives
- Analyse data to shape promotional and trade plans in the category
- Owning the promotional program for a set category
- Supporting the execution of pricing, promotion, range selection and layout development
- Strong commercial acumen and experience working within FMCG and/or retail environment
- Prior experience with promotional and trade planning
- Industry knowledge within liquor is highly desirable
- Exceptional stakeholder management with ability to work closely and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills demonstrated through sourcing customer insights and data to formulate category recommendations
