Network and Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at the Department of Parliamentary Services. As a key member of our Network & Security team, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and securing our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure and resilient network infrastructure
  • Automate network tasks and analyze data to improve performance and security
  • Provide advanced technical support and partner with the Service Desk
  • Assist with cyber security threats and data protection strategies
  • Oversee technology deployments, relocations, and upgrades

About You:

  • Proven experience in the design and management of Cisco technologies
  • Strong understanding of relevant security frameworks (e.g., ISM, ASD Essential Eight)
  • Proven experience in applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive customer-centred service excellence and continuous improvement
  • Strong track record of understanding business needs and identifying and applying appropriate current and emerging technologies to drive business improvements
  • Demonstrated well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to communicate across a broad technical and non-technical audience
